Good Morning All –
It has come to our attention that starting Tuesday, June 4th, one of the spam blacklists that the PCSDesk mail server subscribes to was marking a lot of valid, incoming email as spam. To compensate, earlier this morning we removed this blacklist from the configuration in order to reduce the amount of false-positives and get mail services back on track. As of this writing, it would appear that this modification has solved the issue.
With that said, if you are missing any emails from yesterday, PCSDesk advises that you take the following steps to get your missing emails back..
- Log into the web interface of the mail server here with your email address and password
- Select the envelope icon on the left and then select the Junk E-Mail folder
- When you find a message that should not be marked as spam, right-click on it, select Actions -> Mark -> Not Spam
When performing the above actions, the false-positive email will be moved to your inbox and the sender will be added to your personal whitelist, insuring that they will not be blocked in the future.
We apologize for the inconvenience and if you need further assistance, please drop us a line or give us a call at 615.371.9931.
Thank you –
Brian Gallutia / PCSDesk
